Resource Highlight: Test of Spatial Ability (TOSA)

How can you test the spatial ability of a young child? Use the Test of Spatial Ability (TOSA).

The TOSA was developed to assess the spatial skills of children aged 3-6 years old. It is a match-to-sample task including both a 2D and 3D trial type. The child is asked to recreate a sample arrangement using geometric shapes in the 2D trial or LEGO-type building bricks in the 3D trial.

You can access the full description of the TOSA by navigating to the Resources page > select View Tests & Software > search for “TOSA“. You can also browse by test category or name in alphabetical order.
